- jjeptember 19 P.3 1) In a meeting with the city mayor, the police committee reported that from August 1 to September 16, 311 gamblers were arrested and most of them were Chinese. 2) Chinese Students' Athletic Club Van. Report on the football match. 3) Kai Ping High School Preparation Cttee called for a general meeting withthe district members to discuss setting up a Kai Ping Benevolent Association. 4) Victoria news: Wong Chau ( ) was said to be the murderer of Wong Lau Fong by the authorities, however, the Chinese community refused to accept it. They believed that there was a real murderer. Fook Sin Tong was especially against the saying that Wong Lau Fong was involved with drugs because he was the president of Fook Sin Tong. Several thousand dollars reward were consequently put up by Chan Sin Club ( ), Wong Kong Har Tong, Wong Wun Shan Tong and Fook Sin Tong for catching the real murderer. 5) Kong Chow Association (Victoria). Opening ceremony on Nov. 1.
