They were put into prison for supporting a strike held by other c rewmen. 3) A Chinese was fined $200 or 2 months imprisonment due to selling drugs. 4) New Westminster: the Chinese women Christians sent $1000 to China to support the on-strike workers. p.3 5) CKT Victoria announced that Sept. 12 would be the commemoration day as well as the opening day for the 5-ancestor temple.
