September 1 P.3 1) Van. Chamber of Commerce appealed to MacKenzie King re restrictions imposed by the southern government in China to prohibit cargo ships which had called at H.K. to prohibit KST at any ports in S. China. The new restriction also prohibited liners from Britain and Japan from calling at the ports under administration by the Kwong Chow government. 2) 18 Chinese were arrested for gambing. 3) National Salvation Assoc. (Penticton ) Due to the workers' strike in China, the Chinese community in Penticton raised $157 to give relief to the on-strike workers. 4) CKT (London, Ontario) welcomed & , selling Van. branch saving bonds. 5) Dart Coon Branch (Edmonton and ) opened on September 13. 6) Dart Coon Club Victoria.
