August 25 P.1 1) CBA Van. requested Consul Ho to forward its letter of appeal against the re- strictive Chinese immigration law to the external affairs department in China. P.3 2) CBA Van. Names of donors. 3) MDn Keong School Van. supported the plan of monthly donation to the victims in Shanghai. 4) A few Chinese employees at Vancouver Hotel were dismissed. The director asserted that all Chinese employees would gradually be replaced by whites. 5) News from New Westminster re fund raising of the women Christians. 6) News from Cranbrook. A few Chinese restaurants owners were charged for employ- ing white girls. Consul Ho was requested to protest against this.
