March 10 p.l 1) CBA Victoria urged Chinese to unite together to pursue certain goals: (a) promote welfare; (b) provoke nationalism; (c) request the city government to reduce the land tax of the association; (d) to encourage the establishment of Chinese high schools; (e) to raise funds for the maintenance of the Chinese hospitals and to hire nurses; (f) to raise fund to pay land tax for 1924; (g) to give a monthly financial report; (h) to promote the establishment of a United Chinese Education Association ( ). p.3 2) 27 Chinese were arrested for gambling in E. Fender Street. 3) CKT Victoria new members were admitted into the association. 4) CKT Saskatoon announced that a 6th anniversary celebration would be held on March 21.
