March 9 News re construction of the 5-ancestor temple in Shanghai. CBA Van. - an executive meeting was held to discuss the request of the Chinese Association in Toronto ( ) about disapproving of the appoint- ment of as the new consul general in Ottawa. The following decisions were made: a) the association should not comply to a written request which was not signed by the president or secretary; (b) the association, being a charity organization, should not intervene into politics; (c) the association had no right to disapprove ^v.vl of appointment of government officials; (d) there was no evidenceJof misdoings of .
