- October 2 (Thursday) P. 3 1) There was an order from the government to sweep out all gambling joints, narcotic drug business and illegal,liquor in Chinatown. The police believed that the murder of //£r was a consequence of such abuses. P. 3 2) CBA (Victoria) Tung Wah Hospital (Hong Kong) thanked the H.Q. for the help in raising funds for the flood victims in China. P. 3 3) Chee Duck Tong (Victoria)(and Vancouver), made an announcement regarding sending out 2 delegates to various places to sell shares for the realty of the association.
