- JULY 23 (WEDNESDAY) P.2 1) CBA (VANCOUVER). In the executive meeting held on July 22, the following events were discussed. a. The HKSXHH association had been requested by a missionary school ( ) in Canton to raise funds for its development. The executives were not in favour of such A fund^ drive because they had no trust in protestant schools, which had often forced the students to believe in Chrijfst. Besides, it was known that School was controlled by foreign power, thus the executives had voted to return the donation book to the school. They had rather spend more effort and money in improving the Chinese hospital and Chinese Public School . b. of Winnipeg had requested CBA to propagate its coming drama per- formance in Vancouver. The money raised woulH be sent to China to sweep out the revolutionaires. , , , questioned about who the revolutionaries were - those who supported the Peking government or those who supported the Nanking one. They then stresse< that CBA was an organization for charity means and it should not intervene into such political disputes. All executives agreed with these points and th( decided to send a letter to signifying the standing of the associat: c. There was the discussion of asking to give its remaining money to pxHioHfeH print booklets for commemorating the Chinese Humiliation Day. P. 3 2) CBA (VICTORIA). Hospital in Hong Kong sent a telegram to CBA asking it to raise relief funds for the recent flood in Kwang Tung. P. 3 3) Dart Coon Club (VICTORIA). A tea party was held on July 18 to welcome , P. 3 3) 4) A Chinese lumber workers was accidentally killed at work.
