Description
JULY 14 (MONDAY) P.3 1) CBA (VANCOUVER). In the executive meeting on July 12, the following decisions were made: a. To change the method of collecting exit fees. In the past, 2 agents were paid $30 a month to go to the immigration office to collect exit fees from those Chinese returning to China. However, the people responded indifferently to such payment because the financial state of the association was never made known to them. The present executives ahd now decided to make a detailed report on the financial state of association for past 8 years, in addition there was the plan of rearranging the income of the association. It was decided that from August on, no more agents would be sent to collect exixi fees. Instead, all Chinese stores were requested to collect such ffes in fc return for 25<? for each payment. b. The association had i already advertised for the employment of an acountant to work on financial account for the past 8 years; however, nobody had applied for the position yet. The executives had suggested 4 persons among whom 2 would be app ointed. They were supposed to work for 8 days and would be paid $40 for the whole task. The president would go to ask for their opinion regarding this arrangement. P.3 2) (VANCOUVER). A welcoming banquet was given to its clan memberK, , who was the new teacher of School.
