- JULY 7 (MONDAY) P.2 1) CBA (VANCOUVER). An executive meeting was held on July 5 to discuss improving functioning of association. The following decisions were made: a. an efficient accountant should be hired to produce a financial report for the past few years. He would be supervised by & b. Before the 10th of each month, an executive meeting should be called to report and discuss the affairs of the association. c. The method for collecting exit fees should be rearranged. In addition, 3 other things were discussed:- a. CBA previously had agreed to buy $5000 insurance from the public hospital. , were now appinted to represent the association to go through medical check-up and sign the insurance. b. Mrs. who was the delegate to send regards to the sick overseas Chine in hsopital had asked for her resignation; the association had decided to ask her to stay. c. Starting in July 10, would go to carious Chinese stores to collect exit fees. P.3 2) , the association was set up by members in Vancouver to engage in charity functions as well as sending bones of ancestors back to China. (These jobs were previusly done by ). P.3 3) CBA (NEW WESTMINSTER). A report on what had been HH done on Chinese Hum. Day. Speeches were mady by representatives from Kuomingtant, , , CKT, School, Kong Har Ting, , and P.3 4) News from REVENSTOKE. The Chinese were very active in observing July 1.
