- JUNE 30 (MONDAY) P.2 1) CBA (VANCOUVER) was requested by Ambassador to check whether the Chin- ese in the mental kxs hospital or the penitentiary had registered with the Canadian government. If not, they should help them to go through regist- ration. Consul General Lim was thus informed about this. He had decided to send out some representatives to investigate wuch cases. All unregistered Chinese immigrants were urged to register., by June 3. P.2 3) (which was set up by members) had held a 5th anniversary celebration on June 29. The association had been very active in the welfare of its home village in China, such as building schools and setting up bureaus for sending money back to China. P.2 3) Ti Shing Shon Yee Association (Vancouver). A meeting was held on June 30 to discuss the Chinese Humiliation Day. & were appointed to represent the association in the meeting held by CBA on July 1. In addition, the association had planned to hold a general meeting on that day during which speeches would be made. P.3 4) CBA (VICTORIA) got support from the branches in Windsor and Winnipeg and CRT in Toronto for observing the Chinese Humiliation Day. They assured the headquarter that they would follow its plan on that day.P.3 5) who took charge of building the 5 ancestor temple in Shanghai announcec that he would go to Shanghai in August to commence the construction of the 5 ancestor temple. All representatives were advised to be in Shanghai not later than Sept. 1. 6) P.2 P.3 2) CKT (Beira, East Africa). An announcement that an opening ceremony would be held on October 10. All members of CKT were welcomed to attend the ceremony. 7) CKT (VICTORIA) urged the branches to send toasts or gifts to CKT in Beira for its grand opening. P.3 8) t- (DUNCAN) urged the Chinese in the nearby places to observe the Chinese Humiliation Day. A meeting would be held on July 1.
