JUNE 4 (WEDNESDAY) P.I 1) A continuation of the comment on the Chinese immigration laws in Canada and U.S. Details of the new Chinese immigration law passed by the U.S. gov't. were published. P.3 2) 2 Chinese were arrested for keeping narcotics. P.3 3) 10 Chinese were arrested in a gambling joint in Columbia Street. P.3 4) Kai Ping High School. , of Calgary, had given 2 drama performances to raise funds for Kai Ping High School. About $600 was raised. P.3 5) Kai Ping High School. Kai Ping members in Moose Jaw had set up a fund rais- ing bureau for the school. Execcutives would be elected soon. P.3 6) Chinese Public School (Victoria) had hired a teacher, , from China. P.3 7) CKT (VICTORIA) announced on June 1 that had already arrived in Montreal. All branches were urged to welcome him if he stopped by.
