BY APRIL 25 (FRIDAY) P.2 1) CBA (VANCOUVER) and a number of Chinese stores held a banquet to welcome ambassador . He pointed out 4 commitments that he wished to fulfil during his service. a. to fight for justice ( ) b. to fight for humanity ( ) c. to fight for morality ( ) d. to assume responsibility ( ). He emphasized that he would try his best to abolish the restrictive im- migration law. Finally, he denied what the reported in Victoria had reported regarding his view towards the new Chinese immigrat- ion, law. He assured that the interview did not include any aspects about the immigration law and that Consul General Lim and could prove what he had said. Speeches were later made by Consul General Lim, , , & many others on the signific- ance in protesting against the restrictive law. The ambassador would set off to Ottawa on April 28. CBA planned to hold a general meeting on April 27 at the Chinese theatre so that could have a chance to give a talk to the Chinese. P.3 2) Kai Ping High School. Drama group would give a performance on April 27. The money collected would be donated to Kai Ping High School. So far, more than $500 were collected. P.3 3) The continued trial of was reported on. P.3 5) CKT (SAN FRANCISCO). who was chosen as a delegate to take charge of building the Five-Ancestor Temple in Shanghai after the 3rd general con- vention, made the following announcements: - a. (an enginner) and (ai(/ university prof.) would like to dedicate themselves to building the Temple and to promoting the business of Hung Mun. They had already resigend their posts and had decided to join him to go to various places to raise funds and strengthem therf the influence of Hung Mun. stressed that their work was voluntary and what they wanted in return was the propperity of Hung Mun which might 'certainly help the strengthening of China. b. CKT of Shanghai was the only organization in China which could prmote the business of Hung Mun. In the 3rd general convention, it was decided that each member had to pay at a minimum of 50c to the association for its functioning. The members were now advised to cooperate by giving generaus donations.
