- MARCH 21 it (Friday) P.I 1) A continuation of the comment of on the election method of CBA. He pointed out the incident of the resignation of who was appointed as the president by public voting system in 1916. The reason for his resignation after a few months of service was that ife was found out that there was absfuse in the election method and that he had been making money by using his title as the president of CBA. added that the public voting method could be carried out in the past because at that time there was less complication and counter-attacks in the Chinese community. Besides, there were a number of devoted leaders like who were so concerned with the welfare of the Chinese community. How- ever, at the present time, there was a drastic change in circumstance and personnel, the old election method would not be suitable, emphasized that in order to promote better efficiency of the association, more attention should be paid to the functioning of the association rather than to its election method. Special personnel should be elected to work on the commercial field as well improving the morale of the Chinese. There could be done through consistent speech making and di- Kfcxxx stribution of monthly print-outs. p.3 2) (VANCOUVER).
