- January 8 (Tuesday) P.2 1) was sent by the Candian Immigration Department to China to take charge of the Chinese immigration affairs. His duty was to examine the entry certificates before the immigrants set off to Canada. This procedure was to avoid any deportation of immigrants upon arriving in Canada. P.3 2) CKT(Vancouver). A banquet was held on Jan. 7 to welcome the new executives, Speeches were mde by , , , , and P.3 3) (Vancouver) held a meeting on Jan. 7 to welcome a Chinese government official who came to Canada to investigate the currency system and who was the director of the Overseas Chinese Realty Bank ( ). pointed out that the weakness of China could be a result of her lack of realty development; thus, the establish- ment of a realty bank could k certainly bring about prosperity in China. P.3 4) CKT (Sault Ste. Marie). Names of new executives. President: P.3 5) CKT(Lethbridge) released names of shareholders from Winnipeg, Montreal, , and Vernon.
