- December 19 P3 1) 10 Chinese smokers did not show up during their trial, as a result their bail ($300) was confiscated. 2) Dart Coon Club Cumbeland. A 2nd anniversary celebration was held on Dec. 16. The building was colorfully decorated. Many people attended the celebration, including the representatives from CKT & Dart Coon Clubs in Victoria, Van., Nanaimo, and Calgary. 3) News from Victoria on Dec. 18. There was a modified business hour regulation and hawkers were not allowed to sell goods on the streets during the half day holidays and other public holidays. The aim of this regulation was to restrict^ the Chinese from doing business during holidays. P3 4) The Chinese Public School Vancouver. The shares of of the school were $5 each. There was a weekly meeting on Wednesday. The first sum of share money would be donated to the school. Names of shareholders of were released. bought 10.
