- December 11 P3 1) Ping Yeung Railway ( ). had come to Canada to promote the building of the railway. Maetings had been held in Tung Fook Tong to discuss it. The members of Yun, Kai and Yeung districts had decided to eend a letter of recommendation to in San Francisco so that the members there could also give a hand to 2) News from Victoria on Dec. 10. The Chinese associations had employed lawyer to fight against the prohibition of Chinese employment of white and Indian girls. asserted that the proposal had violated the constitution. He suggested that the proposal should be modified in such a way that all employers who had bad characters or who were evil minded should be forbidden to employ female fchites and Indians. However, the police argued that it was difficult to determine whether an employer was evil or not. The case would be reconsidered. 3) News from New Westminster.
