November 21 P3 1) 22 Chinese were arrested for selling drugs. 2) A Chinese (Liu) was arrested for setting fire to the house of a Canadian. P3 3) Chee Kung Tong Victoria. & , who were sent by the H.Q. to attend the general convention in San Francisco had returned to Victoria. A meeting would be held by the H.Q. so that they could give a detailed report on what decisions had been made in the convention. 4) Dart Coon Club Victoria. An eighth anniversary celebration was held on Nov. 18. An office acceptance ceremony by the new executives was also held on that day. Speeches were made by the new executives and various represent- atives who attended the celebration. Toasts were sent by Chee Kung Tong in St. Catharines, Vancouver, Cumberland, Cranbrook, Kamloops, Victoria, Dart Coon Club in Calgary, Vancouver, Cumberland, Cranbrook, Winnipeg, Kamloops, Nanaimo, the Chinese Times and (Lo Siu Pak). 5) Chee Kung Tong (Victoria). 2 announcements were made: a. Yau Hin Cheuk ( ) from the branch assoc. in Saskatoon was accused of running away with $1700 official money. All branches were asked to keep an eye out for him. b. All branches were rquested to send the annual donation to the H.Q. 6) Chee Kung Tong Victoria. Lim Lap Wing ( ) requested to cancel his name as a candidate for the post as president after the preliminary election. P2 7) Dart Coon Club Vancouver. 2 announcements were made on Oct. 16th: a. All members were requested to pay the monthly fee which was essential for the functioning of the club; b. A preliminary election for next year's executives would be held Dec. 2 and the final election on Dec. 9th.
