November 19 P3 1) Chan Wing Chuen Tong Vancouver held a banquet to welcome its clan member Chan Sheung Chung who came to raise funds for Sung Li School in China. The clan members were enthusiastic in raising funds. President took the iniative by donation $100. Names of several donors released. P3 2) A gamb ling club was searched and a Chinese charged for owning the club. P3 3) . An office acceptance ceremony was held on Nov. 18 during which speeches were made by Ambassador Lim and the new executives. They talked about how to strengthen the realty of the association and how to promote education. 4) Chee Kung Tong (H.Q. in Victoria) had been elected as a candidate for the post as president, however he announced that he was unable to accept the post due to his old age and inability. 5) The Chinese Public School urged those students who had not yet paid the school fees to clear the debts by December 15, otherwise their names would be released on the annual financial report.
