- November 13 P3 1) Eversince the 2nd world war, the Chinese Vegetable Sellers' Assoc. and Chun Wah Commerce Assocation had been boycotting the Japanese tangerines as a means of showing their hostility towards the Japanese. A joing meeting was held by them on November 11 to discuss continuing their boycott against Japanese products. Circulars would be sent out to remind all Chinese fruit produce companies of the anti-Japanese campaign. 2) held a meeting on Nov. 11 to discuss reorganizing the assoc. New executives were elected. Honorary president: President 3) A Chinese (Chan) was arrested for stabbing a white in a restaurant. Chan was working as a waiter in the restaurant and he harmed the customer because he was disturbed by him as he was drunk. P3 4) A report on the opening ceremony of Dart Coon Club in Nanaimo on Nov. 11. A number of representatives from Chee Kung Tongs and Dart Coon Clubs else- where attended the celebration. Speeches were made by ( from Victoria), (representatives from Dart Coon H.Q.) (from Chee Kung Tong in Vancouver), (from Dart Coon Club in Vancouver), (from Kuomingtang in Nanaimo), and representatives from many other associations. The president and about 30 members of had also attended the celebration. The social convenor had made a speech in English saying that the friendship between the Canadians and Chinese should be strengthened. He also pointed out the function of Dart Coon Club. Since it was a supplementary assoc. of Chee Kung Tong, it would follow its track to perpetuate the goal of Hung Men 5) News from the 3rd general convention of Chee Kung Tong. All donation funds for building the 5-ancestor temple should be sent to the Shanghai Bank H£ by June 1, 1924. The money would be refunded if construction was called off. 6) Names of donors to Chee Kung Tong (Victoria) from , , Fernie and Cumberland. 7) Names of shareholders of the realty of Chee Tak Tong from Victoria.
