- October 1 Pi 1) An atticle on the significance of buying back the building of Chee Kung Tong in Vancouver. The building had been mortgaged for funds which were used to support the 1911 Revolution in China. The people were urged to donate money or buy shares forteir association. P3 2) Chee Rung long in Vancouver announced that a meeting would be held on Oct.l to discuss how to retain the realty of the association. 3) A Chinese was arrested for vagrancy. 4) Mare than #100 was raised by the Chinese drama performance group. Both the Japanese and the Chinese ambassadors attended the performance. The money would be sent by Ambassador Lim to the Red Cross for helping the victims in Japan. 5) 2 Chinese from Vancouver were arrested by the American immigration officer in Portland for going there illegally. 6) Names of donors and shareholders from , , , , , , Cumberland to Chee Kung Tong in Lethbridge. 7) & thanked Chee Kung Tong and of Cranbrook for the farewell party before they left for Canada. Pll 8) The Chinese people were encouraged to give help to the Japanese victims who had suffered the earthquake disregarding of the imperialism and the attack of the Japanese government on China in the past.
