September 19 P2 1) A Chinese drug criminal had to be deported after 3 years of imprisonment disregarding the appeal of his lawyer. 2) The Canadian Retail Businessmen's Assoc. held a meeting on September 17 nad MP was invited to give a talk on the new Chinese immigration law. pointed out that the new law had almost completely excluded the Chinese. He added that the Retail Businessmen's Assoc. had certainly contributed a lot in order to make the passing of such a law a success. 3) News from Lethbridge. The building of Chee Kung Tong would begin aaon. Architeacts and contruction workers had been employed for its establishment. 4) a number of new members were admitted into Chee Kung Tong in Duncan on Sept.8.
