September 10 P3 1) After the ancestral worship on Sept. 4, Chee Kung Tong in Van. held a banquet on September 9. Speeches re the history of the association were made by , , & . There was also a discussion on the forthcoming general convention. was chosen as the representative of Chee Kung Tong of Canada and he would go to attend the convention on October 10. P3 2) The CBA in Van. got a message from Ambassador Lim which stated that the CBA of Kobe had asked for relief for the victims after the earthquake. It was hoped that the overseas Chinese in Canada could give a hand to their fellow members in Japan. The CBA planned to request , the president of the assoc. for relieving the flood in to send the rest of their donations to relieve the victims in Japan since this was urgent. 3) 3 Chinese were arrested in a smoking den. 4) A statement of credit and debit of the association for protest aginast the restrictive immigration law in Nanaimo.
