September 8 Pi 1) A comment on Ambassador Chau's going back to China. The representative com- mittee at Ottawa was blamed for the enforcement of the restrictive immigrat- ion law since no negotiations had ever taken place between them and Ambassador Chau. Chau was being sympathized for his position since he was menaced by the Canadians on one hand and was forced by the representatives on the othei 2) (Secretary for Ambassador Chau) was criticized for telling the Canadian community that if Chau did not return to Ottawa, his post would be replaced by another person. (Chau had emphasized that whether or not he would come back depended on the attitude of the Canadian government to the proposal of revising the new Chinese immigration law.) was also criticized for sending an unfavourable article about Ambassador Chau to the Chinese Times. There was a talk that wanted to chase Chau out so that he could take his place. 3) Wah Fung Company published a constitution for its shareholders.
