- September 4 P3 1) The Anti-School Segregation Assoc. (Vic.) wrote to the branch assoc. in Van on Sept. 1, saying that their struggle had finally ended because the Educ. Dept. agreed to revise the segregation policy. Those Chinese students who were previously studying in the public schools could go back. But all grade 1 and 2 Chinese students had to go to a special school. They, however, could be referred to the public schools if they had satisfactory standards. The associationhad called a meeting on Sept. 1 to discuss the revised issue. i P3 1) All members were satisfied with it and had agreed to ask the Chinese students to go back to school. 2) Ambassador Chau rushed back to China to attend his grandfather's funeral. 3) Chee Rung long of Sew Westminster held an ancestral worship on Sept. 2. from the Chinese Times attended the celebration. Speeches were made by them. 4) Names of donors from Saulte Ste. Marie, Montreal, Saskatoon and Revel- stoke to Chee Kung Tong in Vancouver.
