July 30 P3 1) A lagge amount of ammunition had been found in a Chinese home. They were well-packed in trunks. With regard to the law, all Chinese had to register with the government. The H.Q. planned to help them to register so as to save them from being forced to pay extra taxes. Help would also be given to thse who had lost their tax receipts. A supplementary one could be issued upon paying $25 to the immigration office. It was learned from the Chinese embassy that except in London, all Chinese embassies in Europe would be closed down soon. The embassy in Ottawa might follow the same track due to insufficient funds. If these really closed down, discrimination against the Chinese would surely be intensified. 5) News from Ottawa.
