July 25 P3 1)The CBA of Vancouver announced that the new Chinese immigration law had been passed by the governor-general on June 30 and that the old law would be invalid by September 30. 2)A report on the case of 3)In the meeting held by the association for protest against the restrictive immigration law on July 23, 2 decisions were made: a. to cancel the intended blessing to President Harding because his visit was an official trip that was concerned with international questions between Canada and the US, thus the Chinese should not intervene. It was however hoped that Chinatown could be decorated to welcome the president. b. Seeing that the new Chinese immigration law had been passed, the weekly meeting on Monday was cancelled. In case of emergency, extraordinary meeting could be called. 4), who were responsible for recruiting shareholders for Wah Fung Company announced that the constitution of the company would be revised to attain perfection. In the meantime, it was hoped that all shareholders would pay their shares in order that the company could operate efficiently.
