July 16 P3 1) The CBA would sent reps, to collect fees for Chinese Hospital. 2) held a meeting welcoming , just been working very hard for establishment of Hoysun High School in China. P3 3) News from Ottawa. The government proposed that all passport applicants should pay $25 in addition to the $10 which was paid to the immigration officer for signing the documents. Also, those who hired Chinese crews should pay $1000 guarantee fund for each crew member and that they were not allowed to leave the ship upon arrival in Canada. As for the Chinese transients, they should undergo detailed body check-ups and should pay certain amount of guarantee fund. 4) The president of Chee Kung Tong in Jamaica stopped by Vancouver and he was welcomed by Chee Kung Tong there. 5) The CBA of New Westminster thanked those who had donated money for supporting theprotest against the restrictive immigration law. 6) A denunciation of those who were responsible for sending ammunition to China was made.
