- July 4 Pi 1) thanked all Chee Kung Tongs over Canada for their cooperation in promoting the affairs of Chee Kung Tong and the generous donations for Tai Tung Newspaper. He had left Montreal for the States on June 27. P3 2) A ceremony for admitting new members into Chee Kung Tong of New Westminster was held on June 30. was responsible for the ceremony. 3) & had gone to Montreal on June 22. A meeting was held by Chee Kung Tong to welcome them. They gave a long talk on the affairs of Chee Kung Tong and Tai Tung Kung Bo of Money was raised to subsidize the newspaper. 4) The opening ceremony of Bok Oy Reading Room (Nanaimo) had been held on July 1. Representatives from various Chinese associations attended the ceremony. 5) Chee Kung Tong (H.Q.) announced on June 20 that due to the requests by the H.Q. and the branch associations, president of the H.Q. had agreed to cancel his resignation.
