Description
June 27 P3 1) In a meeting held by the Children's Association, 2 Canadians pointed out the reason why the citizens in Vancouver opposed the plan of raising funds to set up schools. They asserted that the majority of Canadians could not tolerate to see the public schools filled with East Asian students. They did not want their taxes being spent on the foreigners. 2) A Canadian attacked the E. Asians in the English newspaper. He pointed out that a few areas in Vancouver were almost taken over completely by them. He hoped that those living in the east coast would realize that B.C. was being invaded by the E. Asians and that joint action could be taken to check this. 3) thanked Chee Kung Tong of Saskatoon for giving him a fare- well party before he left for China.
