June 8 PI 1) An executive of the association for protest against the restrictive immigration law (Winnipeg) published an article to denounce those who had made associations close down by consistently disturbing and criticizing the executives as inefficient and corrupt. Rumors about the executives were published in the Chinese newspaper for public acknowledgement. Ambassador Chau was also criticized for telling the people that the embassy was in need of money. P3 2) 10 Chinese were fined $5 each for working on Sunday. 3) The Chinese living in had raised $11 to support the protest against the restrictive immigrationlaw. 4) An association to protest against the restrictive immigration law was set up in Fernie.
