- June 4 Pi 1) An article of protest against the restrictive immigration law. P3 2) 3 Chinese had committed drug offenses. 3) & had gone to Medicine Hat. A general meeting was held by Chee Kung Tong to welcome them. Speeches were made by president and the 2 delegates. 4) A trunk of bullets and ammunition was discovered by the customs officer before it was loaded into a ship which would leave for China. It was believed that the ammunition was sent back to China for use in the Chinese war. 5) Associations for protest against the restrictive immigration law were set up in & on May 27 and May 28 respectively. Funds were raised to support the protest. 6) $40 was raised by the Chinese in to support the protest against the immigration law.
