- June 1 P3 1) The CBA was requested by the Vancouver General Hospital to help in raising funds for the hospital. Door to door donations in Chinatown would be carried out on June 2. The CBA urged the Chinese to be generous. 2) of CBA organized an executive meeting on May 31 to discuss the case of president who authorized the $1000 official money to be sent to help Ambassador Chau to protest without calling for an executive meeting first. suggested that since the money was used for welfare of the overseas Chinese, the case could be called off if repaid the money by June 6. , however demanded that should be fired and he was supported by & said that should apologize to the executives. , etc. all agreed that should be excused since he was by no means profiting himself. The argument went on for a long time and called the meeting off around midnight. 3) 2 Chinese committed drug offenses. 4) & were welcomed by Chee Kong Tong in , Lethbridge, and Fernie. They attended the opening ceremony of library in 5) News from Victoria. Public Health service officer stressed that the Canadian fishery industry would soon be completely ex- ploited by the E.
