- May 19 P3 1) (ex-president of CBA) was interviewed by an English newspaper editor about his opinion with regard to the restrictive immigration law. He said that those 43 restrictive laws certainly indicated discrimination against the Chinese. If the Chinese did not cooperate to protest against this law, their future would surely be miserable. He added that the president of CBA in Victoria had already gone to Toronto to discuss with the rep- resentative committee about how to approach the protest. 2) in Calgary held a general meeting on May 16 to discuss the plans for protest.
