April 24 P3 1) The English newspaper critic supported the CBA in counter-attacking the speech made by Reverend 2) The CBA of Vancouver replied to 's letter of April 18 by saying that the association had put in a lot of effort in fighting against the harsh immigration law and that there was no such thing as forbidding those who were responsible for the English lawsuit from getting involved with the protest. 3) The Canadian government rejected the suggestion by the Retail Businessmen's Association of changing the term "merchant" to "Business representative" in the new Ciiimese immigration law. 4) New executives were chosen for Chun Wah Commerce Assoc. in a meeting on April 22. Speeches were made by the new executives and was chosen to help the CBA to protest against the new immigration law. 5) Police inspector from China was on his way to N.Y. for a meeting. He stopped by at Van. and was welcomed by Ambassador Lim, , He talked about the drug situation in Canada. He pointed out that the Chinese had always been attacked for being primarily respon- sible for the drug problem and this surely brought a great disgrace to China.
