Description
March 12 P3 1) A white teacher who had been teaching in Hong Kong for 20 yars gave a talk on the school segregation policy when he visited Victoria. He asserted that the policy of school segregation between the whites and the Chinese had been used in Hong Kong for years and there had not been any form of protest against this. He could not figure out why the overseas Cinese in Canada were making a fuss about the policy. School segregation was by no means indicative of discrimination. It was appropriate to separate those with a poor English standard from those who had already mastered the language. P3 2) Ambassador Chau was invited by the prime minister to a banquet in which the head immigration officer was present too. They had a long talk about the new immigration law. It was reported that Chau protested strongly against the law. 3) Names of the executives of in and 4) Names of the executives of the communication centre of Ti Shing Shon Yee Association in Calgary.
