- November 15, 1922 (Wednesday) p. 3 (1) The Retail Businessmen's Association of Vancouver held a meeting on November 13 to discuss how to exclude the Asians. They decided to raise at least $4000 for this purpose. They stressed that except for the government officers, tourists, commercial delegates and university students, all Asians should be forbidden to come to Canada. In addition, they suggested that from now on, the Asians should be deprived of the rights of renting farm lands and buying realty. P. 3 (2) The Chinese Charity School was established in Victoria. The opening ceremony had taken place on November 13. The capital of the school was derived from donations from various associations and merchants. Both English and Chinese were taught in that school. President: ?fl *O ¥%" P. 3 (3) It was reported in the English newspaper that 'V ^ had turned to the police for help because his children had been threatened by some Chinese students for going to school.
