November 8, 1922 (Wednesday) P.2 (1) Drama performance was made to raise funds for ~t\U; ^ '-L\ Hospital. P.2 (2) Ambassador Lim made an announcement on October 7, urging the Chinese students to behave well because it was reported in the English newspaper that a Chinese student attempted to attack a white girl. As a result her parents had her transferred to another school. Ambassador Lim stressed that the Chinese students should be patient and law abiding, otherwise the whites would have sound excuse for excluding them. P.3 (3) A Canadian attacked the Asians on the newspaper. He asserted that a reason why so many returning soldiers and Canadians were unemployed was because the positions were filled by the Asians. The situation could only be remedied by forbiding Asian immigration. P.3 (4) The Chinese merchants in Calgary had set up a public Chinese school. P.3 (5) The opening ceremony of the Chinese Public Hospital in Victoria on November 11 (after renovation). Names of the temporary executives: President: -^0 ^ "& C Vice: ^V tlL %y.
