Description: November 1, 1922 (Wednesday) p.3 Head of the Mineral Department ~1~ -r\- 1\J intended to propose in the coming provincial legislative meeting the policy of complete exclusion of the Asians from coming into Canada. He asserted that despite the restrictive immigration law, many Asians could still come in. Since their living condition was low and they provided cheap labor, they created great competition for the whites. In order to protect the rights of the Canadians, a law should be enforced to forbid Asian immigration.
