October 24. 1922 (Tuesday) P.3 (1) The English newspaper gave a report on the enormous number of Asian merchants so as to arouse the Canadians to the impending danger of complete exploitation by the Asians. (2) The city council of Burnaby held a meeting on October 23 and decided not to issue commercial licenses to the Asians because of the requests of the people. It was reported that so far there were about 4 Asian owned shops in Burnaby. (3) The 5 Chinese students who continued to go to school despite the strike by other Chinese students, had finally quit going to school also. The reason for quitting school was not known.
