CU,._ Uc^ Vou in _J-4. ^1 Alberta. (3) News from Victoria. Chinese women teachers had been employed to teach Chinese students because it was believed that the students could make improvements owing to better communication with the teachers. However, seeing that it did not work, the Education Department dismissed the Chinese teachers and replaced them by the white ones. In addition, the Education Department pointed out that the English language should be taught by the white teachers rather than by the Chinese ones.
