- July 13, 1922 (Thursday) P. 3 (1) A Chinese merchant brought 2 sons to Canada. However, one was detained by the immigration officer because his mother was a concubine. He was to 'V be sent back to China. A lawyer was hired to protest against this and he asserted that a concubine's son should not be treated as a servant. He should be given equal treatment with that of the legal wife. Finally, the detained son was admitted. 3 Chinese were arrested for keeping drugs. Names of the executives of the C.B.A. in Montreal.
