- December 16 p.3 1) CBA Van. announced that there would be election by locality - all names had to be sent in before Dec. 25; Hoysun, Sun Hui, , - 5 reps.from each and 5 auxiliaries; Kai-ping, En-ping, - 4 reps, from each and 4 auxiliaries. - 2 reps, from each and 2 auxiliaries. 2) It was reported on the English paper that Mr. Yip En was an educatd person who had been in N. America since he was 20 years old. He had to be back in China and then return to Vancouver, when he was employed as an interpreter in the National Revenue and Immigration Dept. for 17 years. Then he became a merchant. He was being interviewed on his views of immigration. 3) Ottawa news - the issue about employing Chinese and Japanese workers to work on crown land was brought up at the Supreme court. 4) CKT - announced that he had accepted the post as 5) En ping Library/Nan En Kong Bo preparation Bureau - Van - Donation books and share raising books had been distributed and over $8000 was raised, but it was hoped that more could be raised. 3 members were elected to tour Victoria, Nanaimo and vicinity to collect funds. 6 members were elected to have signing authorities and they were responsible to put money in the bank. A name list of donors was posted out for reference. 6) CKT Van. - President.
