Description: November 30 P. 3 1) was murdered in Cumberland and Consul Yip sent a sympathy card/1 letter to his family during the funeral . 2) Discrimination v.s. Chinese - the Anti- Asian society had once received a letter from who stated that Dhinese drug offenders could be deported. And now seeing that thepolice did not take action, they protested at the police department. Also a delegate was sent to consult the judge about the enforcement of the law. 3) Discrimination v.s. E. Asians - the B.C. Social Planning department announced that E. Asian immigration should be banned immediately; the HXHX unemployment situation should be dealt with, and foreigners in Canada had to be educated with Canadian way of life so that they could be assimilated. 4) En-yap Van. Tung Fook Tong, Kwong Chee School - The new teacher arrived and he was warmly welcomed by the En-yap members. P.3 5) Dart Coon Club Vancouver - announced on Nov. 30 that the new executive would assume office on Dec. 4th. 6) Liberal Party Candidate held a speech in a school in S. Vancouver. He said that Japanese should be treated equally. 7) A Chinese drug offender was fined $3,000 or 6 months in jail. 8) Cumberland news: a description of the funeral ceremony. The H.Q., Dart Coon Club, and School and many branches sent representatives to pay respects to him.
