- November 8 P.3 1) Fund raising - Consul Yip helped raise $8000 funds for famine relief. The Shanghai Overseas Chinese fund raising bureau ( ) thus wanted to give each donor a receipt which would be distributed by 2) Van. - opening at 822 Fender Street. $3000 raised for realty developm. 3) CKT Victoria - , the secretary was returning to China. He was given a farewell party. 4) Discrimination v.s. E. Asian students Nanaimo: school segregation in Nanaimo. P.3 5) CKT Victo ria - Mr. Lim Y. Chung , the Secretary of the Reading Room and the assistant manager of the Sam Hap Co. was returning to China; he was given farewell parties. 6) Discrimination v.s. E. Asians - Victoria news - when the E. Asians who were holding Canadian Citizenship demanded to have national franchise, the Commerce and Labour Assoc. held a meeting to discuss the case. Many were against E. Asians; they even protested giving citizenship to the Canadian born E. Asians. They decided to request the provincial government to restrict franchise on E. Asians. 7) Van. - was opened on Nov. 6. The Eng Mac Cttee ( ) in Montreal, Vernon, Victoria, New Westminster and Vancouver all sent reps, there. Executive list: President ; Vice 8) Van. Dart Coon Club - urged the members to hand in the monthly payments which were the maintenance fee for the association.
