October 20 P.3 1) The School board had requested the investigator to give a report on E. Asian students. It was found that there were 490 Chinese students in the elementary schools (45 were over 16 yrs old.) Japanese elementary school students - 501, and out of whom 20 were over 16 years old. Others were either 1 year or older than the classmates.Last year, E. Asian students - 792; this year 991. Out of 28 principals in Vancouver, only 2 were against E. Asian students, the others thought that E. Asians did not hinder the improvement of white students. 3 were undecided. 2) Vancouver Sun - an article which promoted the shingle company to fire Chinese worker* 3) Chun Hing Silk Co. - a branch was going to be set up in Vancouver. A meeting had been held at CBA to prepare the establishment. Share money was immediately raised at that meeting.
