October 4 P.3 1) Visitors - Ambassador of Cuba , political adviser, etc were in Vancouver. Consul General received them warmly. 2) Anti-Asiatic club - would hold a general meeting on Sept. 7 at 319 West Pender. The secretary had sent invitations to various organizations seeking support. He was particularly against granting franchises to 150 Japanese in the next election. 3) Discrimination v.s. E. Asian farmers - news. There was an intention to set up a potatoe Growers Assoc. in Vancouver. However the organizer would not accept E. Asians joining the association. 4) CKT Sam Hap Company - would hold a shareholders general meeting to elect an able manager for the company.
