September 13 P2-3 1) Leung Jong How Tong - held a banquet for the Leung members on Sept. 11 at Van. The aim was to raise funds for an association building. 2) Japanese Labour Union approached the E. Asian Exclusion Association by sending a representative there to confront the president of his irrational demands of excluding E. Asians. P.3 3) Discrimination and Exclusion - a continuation of an article which attacked E- Asians of saving so much money and draining capital out of Canada. The writer regarded Chinese as 'cheap machines'. P.3 4) Business Assoc. ( ) held an extra-ordinary executive meeting and suggested the govt. to impose stricter contri(ol on E. Asian immigration. 5) Immigration problem: - a 14 year old Chinese student was prohibited from landing by the immigration dept. A lawyer was hired to defend him and fij*ght for him.
