- September 7 P.3 1) It was reported on the newspaper that over $30,000 worth of opium was found on a Chinese farm. 8 Chinese were arrested. P.3 2) Hoysun Assoc. - a merchant in Van. who was a member was praised for his enthusiasm in donating for the secondary school. 3) Asian Exclusion Assoc. had over 1800 membership. 4) Protective Assoc. for the 4 cities - news from Nelson: a deacription of the general convention. There were representatives from various cities and a constitution was being set up. 5) CKT Cumberland - a member pronounced his loyalty to the CRT. 6) CKT Victoria school thanked those who gave gifts and money for the opening.
