July 29 P.3 1)Canadian Legion in Van. held a meeting whereby they requested the government to ban entry of E. Asian workers. 2) Victoria news: . E. Asians were discriminated against in buying or renting land. area was in favour of Duncan's proposal of having the local government supervise buying or renting of land. Chilliwack also rec- eived a letter from Duncan about theproposal and they would discuss this. P.3 3) Discrimination - more attacks were fired at E. Asian workers. 4) Discrimination v.s. E. Asians - Duncan - the Retail Merchant Assoc. in Duncan held the 4th anniversary meeting. They said that theproblems of E. Asian im- migrants were the most important issues in Canada.
